Avoiding Hazards Can Improve Driver Safety

One trait of safe drivers is their ability to avoid common hazards.

These hazards can be anything from bad road conditions to drowsy driving. The following hazards are two that can usually be totally avoided when driving.

Safe drivers usually do not drive in inclement weather unless it is an absolute emergency. Inclement weather includes high wind and heavy rain. These conditions cause the road to become a dangerous place for drivers and it is best to not drive in this type of weather at all.

Another hazard that is illegal in most jurisdictions, but is still common, is texting while driving. Texting causes drivers to take their attention off of the road and places it on a phone. Many accidents each year are caused by texting while driving. Under no circumstance is it advisable for a driver to text when they are on the road.

If you can avoid these two hazards, you will be on your way becoming the safest driver possible.
