Remove Excess Weight to Save Gas

April 7th, 2017 by

It is a known fact that the heavier your car, the more gas it takes to move it down the road. As a result, one easy and effective way to save gas is to remove any excess weight that you might be carrying.

Roof racks, strollers, extra items, and more can all add unnecessary weight to your car and drag down your fuel mileage. Say for instance you have a roof box, these are great for traveling and can free up cabin space but they can also cause drag and add extra weight which can push up your fuel consumption.

If you have things like cases or bottled water, dog food, cat litter, and more, these can all make for extra weight that can cause your car to use more gas when you travel. Take the time to remove things that are weighing your car down to save on gas.
